Cake toppers

I make poymer stuff, at first I panned and kinda wanted it for a business but then I got so busy with my clients and all...

so anyway.. my friend and co-teacher Cor, is getting married soon and she and her fiance are looking around for people who knows how to do polymer clay - -  as they will put them on top of their cake...

and so I volunteered making them because I want to give it as my gift...

She provided me with Sculpey Brand Premo white polymers...

I have been hearing alot about the sculpey brand I always do encounter them but it will be my first time to work with it... I have been keen on using Clayzee Brand.. so I guess it wouldnt hurt to try it...

and so I opened it, kneaded it, then used the rolling pin on it.. it was scary hard as a rock... so I placed my TLS to soften them to mash it and soften the clay.. it worked pretty well

to get the shape of the swans (as cake toppers), I used my stash of hanger wires and twisted them as such to create the Long neck, and the swans body.. it wasnt easy.. I started placing on my glove so I wont have my fingerprints all over the swan... but since my gloves aren't the heavy duty type and my wire keeps on hooking on the gloves.. the rubber gloves broke apart.. so eventually I had to remove them...

to cut the long story short after 4 hours of me doing the topper.. I have finished 1....

I think I did pretty ok..

getting crafty once again

and i so miss writing my thoughts down.. lately the creative deaprtment of my brain have been put to sleep and its slowly waking up...

I will be writing from this point on I will try to write my musings on craft materials.. things I use on certain things..

this blog of mine will not solely be about clothes like I would have normally planned... this time around I will try to talk about the mediums I keep on buying over at different places like the national bookstore, fullybooked, powerbooks.. etc etc... somewhat like the "PS.. I made this" site only I zero in my materials.. hahaha have fun reading...
